Protectis® tablets with Vitamin D3

BioGaia® Protectis® chewable tablets with Vitamin D3 are a food supplement containing Limosilactobacillus reuteri (DSM 17938) Protectis® and vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin, and the amount of vitamin D we receive from the sun depends, among other things, on our lifestyle, age, skin colour, the season, time of day, and geographical location. BioGaia® Chewable Tablets with lactic acid bacteria and vitamin D are orange-flavoured and contain 10 μg of vitamin D3 as well as live Limosilactobacillus reuteri Protectis® bacteria. Sufficient intake of vitamin D supports normal immune system function and promotes the maintenance of normal muscles function and normal bones. In children vitamin D is needed for normal growth and development of bone. Available as a family pack with 30 tablets.

Ingredients

Bulking agent (isomalt), sweetener (xylitol), L. reuteri DSM 17938, palm oil, orange flavoring, vitamin D3 and flavor enhancer (citric acid). One tablet consists of a minimum of 100 million live L. reuteri Protectis® and 10 µg of vitamin D3, corresponding to 200% of DRI (Daily Reference Intake) in the EU. Net weight per tablet, 450 mg. Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects due to the sweetener in the product.

Directions for use

Adults and children over the age of two should take 1–2 chewable tablets a day. They can be chewed, swallowed, or left to melt in the mouth. They can be taken regularly or temporarily e.g. during antibiotic treatment. For the best result, allow 2 hours between the antibiotic and BioGaia® Gastrus® intake. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. This product should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet.
